Databricks co-founder wins prestigious ACM award, says ‘AGI is here already’

# What This Means for You A major AI researcher just won one of computing's biggest awards and claims that artificial general intelligence—AI that can do anything a human can do—already exists, just not in the way people imagine. Rather than being one super-powerful system, he suggests it's more like we've already built all the separate intelligent tools we need, but we're focused on the wrong definition of what AGI should look like. Matei Zaharia has won the top honor from the Association for Computing Machinery. Now he's working on AI for research and says AGI is simply misunderstood.
