Google’s Genie world model can now simulate real streets with Street View

Google has created a new tool that turns real street photos into interactive, walkable simulations where you can explore what streets actually look like, including how they'd change in different weather or lighting. This could help companies test robots in realistic environments before deploying them, make video games more lifelike, or let travel companies show customers exactly what neighborhoods look like. Think of it as the difference between looking at a flat map versus being able to virtually walk around a real street from your computer.
Google DeepMind is integrating Street View with Project Genie to create immersive, interactive world simulations for robotics, gaming, and travel, allowing users to explore environments, weather changes, and rare scenarios.
