SAP bets $1.16B on 18-month-old German AI lab and says yes to NemoClaw

# SAP Makes Big Bet on AI Startup Enterprise software giant SAP is spending $1.16 billion to acquire a young German AI company called Prior Labs, betting that it will help them build better AI tools for their business customers. At the same time, SAP is being selective about which AI agents it allows customers to use, currently only approving a limited set like Nvidia's NemoClaw—essentially acting as a gatekeeper to control how AI gets deployed in their software. This move shows SAP is trying to balance rapid AI innovation with maintaining tight control over what technology actually reaches its customers.
SAP plans to buy German AI startup Prior Labs and invest heavily in it. It is also prohibiting customers' agents use to a select few like Nvidia's NemoClaw.
