Training
The process of teaching an AI system by exposing it to large amounts of data.

Training is how AI systems learn. During training, the AI is shown millions or billions of examples, and it adjusts its internal settings (parameters) to get better at its task. Training large AI models requires enormous computing power and can take weeks or months. Once trained, the model can be used for its intended purpose.

OpenAI's GPT models were trained on text from books, websites, and articles, learning patterns in how humans write and communicate.
